Hello.  My name is Jaan and I’m a Beadaholic.  Actually, I’m a Creataholic that has found my ‘fix’ in beautiful beads and unique jewelry while continuing my need to beautify and create in other areas of my life.   I began almost seven years ago with a bead. (Yes, one beautiful bead and they multiply like dust bunnies so beware!) Lo and beadhold, Beadevoted Unique Bead Boutique was formed! Located in Hummelstown, PA, Beadevoted was founded on Romans 12:10~ ‘Be devoted to one another in love…’ Beadevoted has become a place where people love to enter and stay awhile enjoying the eclectic items and chatting about all the types of stones. That is, perhaps, my favorite part of what I do. Though I love to shop, buy beads and create jewelry as I am inspired, I just love being with the ladies as they tap into their own creativity.  My vision is to serve my customers by being devoted to quality, uniqueness and personal attention, creating lasting relationships. I understand that people can shop online or through catalogues but what I offer is a unique place to come to find interesting and beautiful gifts and treasures that I have poured a bit of myself into.”  Jewelry Making Workshops with individualized attention are always on the calendar as well as Bead Therapy Nights where women chat, create, laugh and share (almost always a little chocolate and wine add to the fun atmosphere!)
     

In my designs, I am drawn to natural stone and earthy metals such as copper,bronze and brass. You’ll see that my jewelry reflects the ‘earth girl’ in me.  When I sit down to create, I love to fill small bowls with the beads I’ll be using and surround myself with them.  I am inspired by their beauty and colors and am amazed at how the different mediums can complement each other.  Though I may use the same stones in various necklace sets, I always keep each piece unique by adding different metals or changing the style or design. This satisfies my need for variety as well as creating a lovely piece of jewelry that the new owner will never see on another person! Each piece is a part of me which is why I now finish each ‘gallery’ piece with a small spiral heart charm signifying that each creation has a bit of my heart and soul put into its creation. Sometimes I really miss a piece when it’s gone!
 

Becoming an entrepreneur has taken so much more  effort than I could have ever imagined.  As my business grows, I grow and the lessons I’ve learned have shaped who I am and who I am becoming. Our lives are journeys and each journey is unique. I am so thankful that I can do what I love on my journey through life and along the way, add a bit of beauty to another’s life and to the world.
